The Madness Behind CONTROL FREAKZ

Otto (Aquaboogy) Vazquez fell in love with street dance at an early age. Aquaboogy has over 15 years of experience in the Dance, Music and Entertainment industries. Highlighted and featured as a dancer in: MTV, MTV ASIA, MTV AUSTRALIA and VH1, he has been accredited via live interview thru MTV AUSTRAILIA , MTV ASIA in Singapore and VH1. Aquaboogy has an extensive list of artists he has opened and danced for: Run DMC, Grand Master Flash, Prodigy, Cindy Lauper, Tony Touch, Angie Martinez, Nice & Smooth, Fab Five Freddie etc., and has worked with Cirque Du Soliel. He has also toured as a featured dancer and the only soloist in the Off-Broadway show called: Break! The Urban Funk Spectacular.

Jonathan (Jon Boogz) Smith was born and raised in Philadelphia, and fell in love with Popping & Locking after seeing the Electric Boogaloos perform in 2003. With over 6 years of dancing under his belt, he has been a featured dancer in the hit television show “So You Think You Can Dance” and has reached national notoriety through his successes in national competitions across the US. He also has been a featured dancer for Carnival Cruise lines and has traveled the world with his amazing talent.

Michele (Mystique ) Lukmani is no stranger to the dance world with over 20 years of experience. Working with Hip Hop legends like Doug E. Fresh, Slick Rick and Rakim, she has shared the stage with the best. She is also internationally acclaimed through her performance in London's festival for women "B. Supreme" and also toured through Mexico with the 'BREAK' show. Known for her unique Popping and House Style of dance, she brings femininity and grace to any stage and production.
Andrews (Non-Ms) Mujica is a veteran of the dance with over nine years of experience. He has toured the world with the hit, Off-Broadway show of “Break”and has worked with artists such as Jose Jose and KRS-1. Currently performing with two amazing bands (May Day, Fuzik) he has won the hearts of many spectators and is reknown for his amazing abilities.

Harry (Iota) Lundy is a talented newcomer who has been blazing a trail of glory since his arrival. With several competitions under his belt, he has reached national noteriety with the company formerly known as Hard Knox Entertainement. Now a part of the Control Freakz, he has a bright future ahead of him as part of Florida’s premier Popping & Locking dance group.

Terresa (Tea Boogie) Barcelo, currently a performer on Carnival Cruise Lines as a popper/locker and has been dancing for most of her twenty six years. Beginning with her roots in flamenco and ballet she has studied Modern, Jazz, West African, Belly dance, contact improvisation, Salsa, and most currently has been focusing on Popping, locking, Hip Hop and Aerial dance. As a performer, Teresa’s versatility has allowed her to work in several categories of the arts ranging from the theatre to the commercial world to the circus, to street performance. She has worked with the Geovanni Luquini Performance Troupe, Pablo Cano, Octavio Campos’ Camposition, Diana Lozano’s Circ-X, Control Freakz (Poppin/Lockin crew), and Illeigh Reynolds’ A.O.P.T., Univision spanish television, Paulina Rubio, Gloria Trevi, Pittbull and many other major latin artists. She also has danced and asst. choreographed for artists such as Sean Paul and Sean Kingston.

Nao (Lou Kang) Campbell was born in Japan, but was raised in the St. Louis metropolitan area. For seventeen years he has studied the art of martial arts. Out-performing his competitors, he quickly grew in recognition. While still competing in national karate tournaments, Lou Kang picked up dance as a hobby. What inspired him to dance was the Electric Boogaloos. Their precise movements and musicality sparked his curiosity, and now the hobby turned into a passion. Even though Lou Kang just stepped foot into the dancing community, his mental focus and discipline through martial arts excelled his dancing ability quickly and has been already featured in an Ipod commercial in 2009, and recently was featured in the 2010 edition of “So You Think You Can Dance.”
