Dance and showmanship has always been a part of Al Fuentes life. Growing up in the Latino section of East Chicago, he recalls the influence of dance from the many local festivals. It was a tough neighborhood. Raised by his grandparents, Al recalls the values and positive reinforcement they instilled in him. Believe in yourself, work hard and do what you love” is what he quickly says his grandparents provided. Those values have carried me through life, he said.
Al spent 10 years dancing and performing NBA halftime shows, first with the Chicago Bulls and then with the Orlando Magic where he is currently the Entertainment Director for it’s Blue Crew. He recently was consultant and co-choreographer for Disney’s new park attraction “Stitch’s Super Sonic Celebration” which opened in Magic Kingdom’s Tomorrowland in May 2009.
